| Alberobello |
This villa is one of the most
important and beautiful in Alberobello, because
of its form, its quality of construction and its
position.
The accommodation is on two main levels, with a
further attic level and a below-ground cellar.
The villa is positioned centrally on its plot,
surrounded by a well-kept established garden with
palm trees, pine trees, olives, mulberries,
magnolias, bay trees and other plants.
Apart from the main entrance, there are two other
accesses to the property, one via a garage, and
another pedestrian gated access direct from the
street. This could be enlarged to provide vehicle
access.
The main villa entrance has automatic gates, and
driveway leading to the garage of some 60 sq m,
also with direct access from the street.
Around the villa there is an area paved with
traditional stone "chianche".
Externally the villa is constructed entirely in
stone, with decorative elements, capitals,
columns and arches, copper gutters and other
features characteristic of the best architectural
tradition of past times.
The central house entrance is large and covered
by an arch. From here there is the view of a
large marble staircase leading to the upper
floor. Through an archway is a large salon of 60
sq m, with large windows overlooking the garden.
A large corridor leads to a dining room of 4 sq
m, with marble fireplace, and a kitchen from
which there is access to a bathroom with
anteroom. Also on this side of the corridor a
lounge of 40 sq m with a further bathroom off.
On the other side of the corridor is a secondary
entrance door. All the above are paved in marble
with granite of various design. A studio,
however, has parquet flooring and has its own
exit to a terrace.
On the first floor there is a large central
studio with fireplace and with a glazed facade
leading to a terrace overlooking the garden.
On the right-hand side4 are two bedrooms and a
bathroom. On the left a further two bedrooms, one
with doorway to a columned terrace. Also here are
a storeroom 3x4 metres, and access lobby.
With the exception of the bathroom, all the upper
level has parquet flooring.
A staircase leads to a third attic level of
around 200 sq m.
From the entrance to the villa there is access
down to a cellar area of 120 sq m.
The covered area externally is some 750 sq m, and
the garden is around 1,800 sq m.. |
